Methodology

Each model of classic car will be decided on either introducing a modern engine in a classic car or upgrading the older engine with modern controls.  Each option will have a CARB (California Air-Resource Board) Executive Number.
Introducing Modern Engine
  • Utilize a similar engine configuration with OEM fuel controls.
  • Redesign ancillary systems to support without modifying the original body and chassis
  • Obscure the modern-technology so it looks like a classic-car
Upgrade Classic Car Engine
  • Use known mechanically durable engine series
  • Upgrade with superior materials and part for any known deficiencies
  • Rebuild with “Blue print” tolerances
  • Incorporate updated specifications with regard to oil control, PCV, piston design, piston ring design, and thermal coatings
  • Exhaust and catalytic-converter technology to reduce engine compartment heat and emissions
  • Incorporate Electronic Fuel Injection with period looking intake manifolds and throttle body
